The Cable Factory rents space for short-term and long-term use. Five main spaces are rented on a short-term basis for staging special events and performances: Merikaapelihalli, Puristamo, Valssaamo, Pannuhalli and Turbiinisali. These spaces cover a total area of over 4500 square metres. In addition, three conference and seminar rooms are available for rent. Nearly all the long-term rental space at Cable Factory – including offices, music and artist studios and storage facilities – are currently occupied. However, new facilities are being renovated for various uses, and applications for these are being accepted. Suvilahti in the Kalasatama district of Helsinki is another historic building landmark that is being converted to accommodate clubs, concerts, photo and film shoots, exhibitions and private functions. The former gas plant side of Suvilahti is being transformed into a unique event venue, and some of the renovated facilities are already available for use. Suvilahti enables events of all shapes and sizes to be organised both indoors and out. When requesting an offer, please specify the date and time of the event you are planning, the expected number of participants, and the type of event (party, seminar, exhibition, concert, fair, meeting, etc.). Photos of the facilities can be viewed online, but the best way to get a feel for them is to visit in person. Please arrange to meet us well in advance so that we can find the best available time to show you around. NOTE: All the facilities that are available for rent in the Cable Factory are self-catering.
