Lux Helsinki
Lux Helsinki is an annually organised light festival that transforms familiar buildings and spaces into unique works of urban art during the darkest time of the year. Three impressive collections of artworks can be experienced in the downtown, Ruoholahti and Suvilahti.
At Cable Factory:
Anna Nykyri, Kaisu Koivisto – Turkoosi
Kaapeliaukio 3
at 17–22
In the Turkoosi video installation, visual artists Kaisu Koivisto and Anna Nykyri examine the colour of the water of the Baltic Sea, which is affected among other things by pollutants, eutrophication and blue algae.
Yasuhiro Chida – Analemma
MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre (C-lobby)
2.–29.1.2023 at 15–22
The deceptively simple structure of Yasuhiro Chida’s work creates countless complex light phenomena. You can experience the work by walking along the path that passes through it or by stopping to look at it for a longer time.
