About the theme:
Where do you feel you belong, where is your home? A physical, mental or geographical location has different meanings, as do atmosphere, milieu and soulscape. Art is a tool of remembering and creating meanings. Art can bind to a place and root, and it builds both personal and social history. New possibilities of interpretation are always woven into art.
The works for the event were selected by a jury, and members were artists Leevi Lehtinen (MUU), Eija Mustonen (Finnish Jewellery Art Association) and Susa Walve (South Karelia Artists’ Association).
