  • The Cable Factory is a place for making art, practising art and for artistic experiences. It is full of new and unexpected things– and invites you to join in.

The factory building was completed in 1943. At first, cables, rubber and data communications equipment were produced here.

The factory was turned over to cultural use at the end of the 1980s.

Kiinteistö Oy Kaapelitalo was set up in 1991. Its job is to renovate, maintain and rent disused industrial areas for artistic and cultural purposes.

The Cable Factory has both long-term cultural practitioners and empty event spaces for rental.

The same company also manages the cultural centres in Suvilahti and at Nilsiänkatu 10.

Our aim is to make everyday life better through culture.
