Rooftop sauna Verner

What would it sound like to experience sauna on the roof of the Cable Factory, with stunning views over the Baltic sea?

The sauna is inviting and serene. Who would have thought that there is an authentic log sauna so close to the city center? Rooftop sauna Verner offers a unique setting for enjoying the hot and relaxing steams of the traditional Finnish sauna. The facilities are suited for up to 25 persons, and the sauna can accommodate up to 8 people at a time.

The space is also available to be used for meetings and other smaller private occasions during the day.

The sauna opened in 2017 and takes its name from Verner Weckman, who was the managing director of the Cable Factory and had the premises built. Once Weckman’s greenhouse stood where the sauna now is. A distinctive personality, Weckman was also twice Olympic wrestling champion, and for the 1952 Olympics he had a wrestling mat installed on the roof for competitors to practise.

Information for renting the sauna:

  • The sauna is rented in the evenings from 7pm to 11pm

  • Rent 620 € (inc. VAT)

  • The maximum number of people in the premises is 25 people

  • The sauna facilities include a fridge, flat-screen TV, WLAN as well as a hairdryer, seat covers and shower soap dispensers

  • Bluetooth speaker is available on request

  • There are no tableware or cooking appliances in the space

  • Bring your own towels or rent them from restaurant Hima & Sali

  • Bringing your own drinks is permitted

  • The sauna and roof terrace are non-smoking spaces

  • Basic cleaning of the space is included in the rental price, but each user is responsible for the general cleanliness of the space at the end of their turn.
